Classes are open to the general public.
York Camera Club members receive a 25% discount. Seating is limited to 10 students per class.
All classes are taught lecture style. Bring your laptop computer to practice during class or
enjoy the lecture and demonstrations on the large projection screen and participate in class
discussions. Bring a flash drive (a gigabyte size or larger is best) to receive take-home
practice material from the instructor. Because of the small class size, students can be assured
of receiving personal attention. All students are encouraged to bring "problem issues" to class
for individual help.

Adoboe Photoshop Elements v8
This class teaches one of the best-selling photo software programs to help you
edit, save and print your photographs. Learn how to edit, crop, resize and save your
` photos.You can also change the color and lighting and enhance photos.Learn how
to use layers, create panoramics and change backgrounds.

Introduction To Windows 7
This course provides students with the basic skills to get started with personal
computers and work with the various features, tools, and operations available in
Windows 7, Microsoft's newest operating system. If you are still using an older
version of Microsoft's operating system, such as Windows XP or Vista, this course
will bring you up to date with the newest features and benifits. This is an
excellent course for beginners who have no knowledge what-so-ever of how to use a
computer. We start with the very basics and advance on to how to use the Internet
and how to send and receive Email. In addition, you'll receive a brief introduction
to such basic programs as Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. We'll
also give you a brief introduction to Adobe's Photoshop Elements.

Creating Computer Free-Hand Art Introduction
This is an introductory course designed to get you started using the tools in Adobe
Photoshop Elements v8 to create, from scratch, free-hand art work. You'll learn how
to make a "painting" consisting of a house, green-grass yard, flowers, etc. You'll
learn the basics of creating 3-dimensional objects, applying shadeing and highlights,
and adding texture.Once you understand how easy the techniques are, you'll probably
want to abandon your oil paints and brushes for ever!

starting a new business in Pennsylvania, sales tax reporting and how to treat your

How To Color Calibrate Your Computer
This course teaches you how to perform color calibration of your computer, monitor
and printer. After that, what you see on the monitor is what your printer will
produce! It's easy and absolutely fool-proof! There's nothing to buy. It's all done
using the Windoes operating system, the Epson Printer Drivers and Adobe Photoshop
Elements v8 or Photoshop CS4. Epson printers are currently the "machine of choice"
that most professional photographers are using. Epson (single function) printers
offer easy calibration combined with pigmented ink that is fade-resistant for up
to 200 years. We do not recommend Epson Multi-function machines for professional
quality results.

precise color balance and correctly set the "black point" of the file. You'll

you'll learn what the ideal printing resolution is and why and when to use a
dedicated printing utility instead of your photo editor application.
