Setting Up Your
Computer To
View Live-Feed Video Cameras
In order to be able to view our live video feed on
your computer, you need to have the Java Console from Sun Microsystems
downloaded, installed, and properly "enabled" on your computer. For that
matter, in order to be able to view a lot of different content on
various web sites, you will need to have Java Consol working. Java is a
"facilitating" utility that allows your internet browser to display
certain "active" content from web pages.
In order to get the JAVA Console to work correctly in
the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, you need to "turn it on". You
do that by going (in Internet Explorer) to TOOLS. If you see the entry,
SUN JAVA CONSOLE (which shows in the image below) then, Java is
correctly turned ON and the problem may lie with your Security Settings.
But, if the SUN JAVA CONSOLE is not showing, then
click on "Manage Add-ons...". Next, in the second image below, notice
that two items are marked in Yellow-Highlight. If you have correctly
downloaded and installed Java Consol from the link that we gave you,
then these two items have to be "enabled". You can "enable" them by
right-clicking on them and choosing the ENABLE radio-button at the
bottom of the window. After they have been enabled, they will look like
they appear in the yellow-highlighted image below. Our video cameras
will now be visible.
If you are not using Microsoft's Internet Browser or a
PC computer, I'm sorry, but I have no foggy idea how to help you. |
